Therapy Options
Our rehabilitation team provides personalized therapy services to help your loved one reach their highest potential of ability and independence. Through an individual recovery plan, our therapists strive to help your loved one safely transition from hospital to home. This is achieved through the following services:
Physical Therapy
Our physical therapists at Lake Park focus on rehabilitation and recovery from physical impairments, pain resolution, and injury prevention. Each facility has a full-service gym and a smaller arena used for training.
Occupational Therapy
Our occupational therapists focus on rehabilitation and recovery of functional independence, which includes skills for eating, bathing, toileting, cooking, dressing, and grooming.
Speech Therapy
For those affected by stroke, brain injury, dementia, and other neurological disorders, the speech therapists focus on rehabilitation and recovery of speech, comprehension, chewing and swallowing abilities, and cognitive language skills.
Caregiver Training
Involving a family member or caregiver in therapy services can promote carryover from skills gained in physical and occupational therapy for a patient’s successful transition back to home. The therapy teams work with family members and caregivers to help them understand the patient’s needs at home and offer functional and emotional support.
